Alumnae Association of Mount Holyoke College Class Notes
    Catching Up: Emily Bieber
Emily Bieber (2002) writes, "I cannot believe it has almost been ten years since graduation from MHC. Looking forward to reunion and seeing so many beautiful faces from our undergraduate years. Since leaving MHC, I lived in NYC for three years, working at a non-profit, the Anti-Violence Project, serving the LGBT Community in NYC; In the summer of 2005, I started a dual degree program at Duke University in Law and Anthropology; Graduated in May 0f 2008 with a Juris Doctor/MA in Anthropology, with a focus on LGBT Family Law; Took the bar exam and have since been working at a law firm (Morgan Lewis) in Philadelphia practicing labor and employment law. I also have the privilege to serve on the executive board of the Attic LGBT Youth Center here in Philly. Luckily I have kept in touch with (from time to time) Abigail Marean, Jennifer Murphy, Jennifer Gieseking, Emerson Moses, Kina Chadwick, and a few other lovely ladies. Since leaving MHC as a graduate in 2002, and even after embarking on a law degree, etc., I have always said that choosing to attend a women's college, and in particular, Mt. Holyoke, continues to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. "
    Catching Up: MaryKate Holden
MaryKate (Tallmadge) Holden (1978) writes, "Marilyn Zelin reports that after 2 years, she will complete her current assignment as Senior Legal Advisor for Alternative Dispute Resolution for the USAID/SEAD Program in Kosovo. She has drafted legislation, trained 90 mediators; 50 arbitrators and opened four ADR Centers. Ann Watkins is very happy that to have one son who finished his Bachelors Degree, a second son graduating in May, so now has one son left to finish high school and college. She had a quick visit from Claire Scholz O'Connor in December and saw Deborah Babson and catches up with Pam McElroy Toner, Karen Berman and Lisa Misakian several times a year and would be happy to sell anyone their own goat's milk soap which is produced by a Mount Holyoke alumna and packaged with their own unique titles, such as Milk and Cookies, etc. All the proceeds help support an area Mount Holyoke student. "

MaryKate (Tallmadge) Holden (1978) writes, "Megan Vaught continues to work in the ever-changing world of health care and has been teaching continuing education to physical therapists around the nation for the past twelve years. She and her partner are very late in life parents with a 4 year old son who has not yet realized how very ancient they are! Her free time the past couple of years has been spent with aging parents and relatives and trying to keep mindful of how she spends her energies. In 2010 Dr. Mary Gilbert Lawrence was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Department of Defense/Veterans Affairs Vision Center of Excellence in Washington, DC, a congressionally mandated center addressing military eye injuries and diseases including vision dysfunction related to traumatic brain injury. Rosemary Hern reports that after 16 years in South Florida, she has relocated to the northeast taking a new position as Director of Loyalty at GTECH in Providence, RI. She loves being back in New England and closer to MHC. Her son Eric Griswold is a college senior at SUNY. Nancy Rosoff was recently named Associate Dean for University College and Academic Affairs for the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers-Camden. Nancy is also an Honorary Research Fellow at the Centre for the History of Women's Education at the University of Winchester (U.K.). This summer, she will be presenting papers in London and Geneva on several aspects of her historical research on women and popular culture. Gina Kano graduated mid-year,(77/78). She is currently SVP of Client Services for Integrated Marketing Services (a division of Advantage Sales and Marketing) in the greater LA area and has enjoyed great success in her career. She likes to think that my experience at MHC was transformative, and that it positioned her for all that has been awarded to her. Patrice McCarthy Kirshbaum just completed her year as the Chairman of the National School Boards Association Council of School Attorneys, an organization of 3,000 wonderful lawyers. Patrice and Don celebrated their 25th anniversary with their daughters Lynn (a 2L at UC Davis Law School) and Sara (a freshman at George Washington University) on a ski trip to Deer Valley, Utah.
